Prof. (Dr.) R. Nesamoorthy is the Registrar of The ICFAI University, Jaipur, bringing with him over three decades of rich and diverse experience spanning industry, academia, and higher education administration. His extensive professional journey has enabled him to contribute significantly to institutional development, academic governance, quality assurance, and strategic planning.

He obtained his M.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and earned his Ph.D. from K. N. Modi University. Throughout his career, he has held key academic and administrative positions in several reputed universities, where he has played a pivotal role in strengthening institutional systems, promoting academic excellence, and implementing best governance practices.

As Registrar, he serves as the Member Secretary of the University's statutory bodies, including the Board of Management and the Academic Council. He is responsible for overseeing academic administration, statutory compliances of BCI, PCI, UGC, Higher Education Dept, examinations, student affairs, human resource management, and the effective implementation of the University's policies and regulations.

A strong advocate of international collaboration and academic innovation, Prof. Nesamoorthy served as the ICT Coordinator for the European Union-funded Tuning India Project (2017–2019). In this capacity, he worked closely with Indian and European partner institutions to facilitate curriculum harmonization, outcome-based education, and quality enhancement initiatives. As part of the project, he represented India during academic engagements in Spain, contributing to cross-cultural academic cooperation.

Visited France, Denmark and Sweden, gaining valuable international exposure in the area’s of metals manufacturing.

Prof. Nesamoorthy believes that effective governance, transparency, digital transformation, and continuous quality improvement are the cornerstones of a world-class university.
